Apr 24, 2016 · Basically, you need Siegward to be IN the kitchen to save Greirat. If you journey too far into the game, Siegward will continue his mission as well and Greirat will die. Specifically, if you go into the Dungeon then Siegward will be captured, and won't save Greirat. The boss you beat doesn't have to be the Pontiff, but you really shouldn't go ... .
